Leisure World Globe Being Moved to New Spot

The big Leisure World outdoor globe is scheduled to be taken apart this week and moved from its home of 20 years.
Starting today, the 32-foot steel globe will be cut in half and placed on two flatbed trucks to be taken from Avenida de la Carlota in Laguna Hills to Moulton Parkway in Laguna Woods.
The city of Laguna Hills had asked that the globe be moved from its spot near Interstate 5.
