Sentencing Delayed in Killing of Dog

Sentencing was postponed Wednesday for a Thousand Oaks man who admitted killing a neighbor’s dog with a pellet gun because the animal’s barking angered him.
Gerald Thieman faces up to 180 days in jail on one count of felony animal cruelty in the Feb. 5 shooting of a 2-year-old beagle that belonged to a family living across the street.
Thieman was arrested two weeks after the shooting and later pleaded guilty.
