Foes of Luxury Homes Earn Spot on Ballot

Residents opposed to a plan to build $700,000 custom homes in a middle-class neighborhood have gathered enough signatures to force a referendum.
The City Council approved the plan to build 14 homes on Gilbert Street, but must now place the issue on the ballot. The election has not been scheduled.
