Entries Pour In to Design WTC Memorial

More than 13,000 people from around the world registered to compete to design a memorial at the former World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan hit in the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
Among the 13,683 entrants were 4,598 from New York state, and 94 countries were represented, according to the Lower Manhattan Development Corp.
The total was almost triple the 4,800 registrants for the memorial to mark the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah building in Oklahoma City.
