Two Oxnard teenagers suffered gunshot wounds Saturday night outside a house party in an area south of the city, Ventura County sheriff’s officials said.
Albert Albillar, 18, was shot in the abdomen and a 17-year-old boy was shot in the arm.
Both had surgery at Oxnard’s St. John’s Regional Medical Center and were expected to recover, Sgt. Ernie Montagna said.
At 11:30 p.m., deputies responded to reports of gunfire in the 3700 block of Dufau Road, where they found two crashed cars and a blood trail leading to the house. The victims were driven to the hospital by friends before deputies arrived.
A gun was recovered in one of the cars, and another gun and bloody clothing were found in the house, officials said.
The motive for the shootings was under investigation.
