$9.1 Million Allocated to Build Waterfront Park

Coronado has received $9.1 million from the Port of San Diego to build a waterfront park and promenade, a boathouse and a clubhouse as part of a plan to develop Glorietta Bay.
Construction on the 11-acre park is scheduled to begin in September and last through November 2004. The boathouse, which will be used for public boat storage, and the clubhouse are expected to be completed in November 2005.
The 4,800-square-foot boathouse will include a clubhouse for teen and youth programs and day camps.
