Hit-and-Run Driver Sought for Hitting Child

Irvine police are asking for the public’s help in finding a hit-and-run driver who struck a 6-year-old child Thursday, causing serious injuries. The accident occurred about 6:15 p.m. near Truman and Hayes Street. The child was dragged about 25 yards.
The car is described as a gold late-model four-door sedan similar to a Honda Accord or Mazda 626.
