Colombian Interior and Justice Minister Fernando Londono resigned after drawing criticism for suggesting that President Alvaro Uribe might quit and call new elections if Congress didn’t adopt proposed reforms. The president’s spokesman denied that Uribe made the remarks.
Legislators had accused Londono of bullying Congress.
