Religious Bigotry

Re “Episcopalians Consecrate Openly Gay Bishop,” Nov. 3: The conservatives of the Episcopal Church, and the entire Anglican Communion, are threatening a schism over the consecration of an openly gay bishop, the Rt. Rev. V. Gene Robinson. These folks who hide their bigotry, ignorance and fear behind the skirts of religion are obviously overlooking Christ’s teachings of inclusiveness and love for all. It’s quite possible that the church would be far better off without them.
