From Staff and Wire Reports
The Laguna Beach Fire Department has become the first in Orange County to add pet oxygen masks to all of its engines.
The masks, which secure tightly to the face to keep oxygen flowing into a pet’s mouth, can help resuscitate dogs and cats suffering from smoke inhalation.
The masks, which are used by veterinarians for anesthesia, come in four sizes and cost about $200 a set. They were donated Tuesday by a Laguna Beach real estate agent.
