AFI in tune: Having already explored such themes as stars, heroes and comedies, the American Film Institute’s next “100 Years” special will focus on the 100 greatest songs in movie history. It will air in June on CBS.
Renewed: The unscripted series “The Restaurant” will return for a second season next year on NBC, picking up where the first one left off in chronicling the fate of New York City’s Rocco’s 22nd Street restaurant.
Super Bowl planning: “Survivor: All-Stars,” featuring 18 contestants from past editions of the CBS reality series, will premiere after Super Bowl XXXVIII on Feb. 1, CBS said. The players, to be announced later, will be vying for a $1 million prize and bragging rights to the title “Ultimate Sole Survivor.”
Fighting piracy: The release date of new albums from the Dixie Chicks (“Top of the World Tour Live”) and Korn (“Take a Look in the Mirror”) has been moved ahead four days to Friday to combat Internet piracy.
