“The Homecoming:” This comedy of appalling family manners -- with its reality-shifting intimations of violence, prostitution, confused sexuality and incestuous child abuse -- is among Harold Pinter’s ambiguous, disturbing best. It’s directed with surgical precision by Sabin Epstein and features a dead-on cast led by Len Lesser as a patriarch who snarls, whines and waxes sentimental. As is characteristic of Pinter, what’s on the surface is not necessarily what’s happening underneath. Epstein and his actors, whose stillnesses in the midst of verbal onslaughts is riveting, make that clear from the get-go.
