Here Comes the Sun -- for a 53-Minute Cameo

After a 66-day absence, the sun will make a brief appearance in Barrow, something that warms the hearts of the folks in the northernmost U.S. city.
The sun slipped below the horizon on Nov. 18 and will return today for a brief 53 minutes.
The sun is “a beautiful sight to see, even if it is 17 degrees below zero outside,” said resident Doreen Lampe.
