Rural Neighbors Protest Development Plans

A proposed housing development in southern Lake County is stirring controversy among the area’s residents.
A Sonoma County developer wants to build 415 homes on a 150-acre former Arabian horse ranch five miles north of Middletown. The development would have a mixed-used commercial complex and would be built over three to five years.
But neighbors worry the proposed development will create traffic congestion and sprawl.
