Bruins Are No Match for Sun Devils, 80-59

Kristen Kovesdy scored 17 points and Betsy Boardman added a season-high 16, leading Arizona State to an 80-59 rout of UCLA on Saturday at Tempe, Ariz.
Emily Westerberg, scoreless at halftime, finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Sun Devils, 17-7 overall and 9-5 in the Pacific 10 Conference.
Nikki Blue had a season-high 32 points, but Lisa Willis, who had 13, was the Bruins’ only other scorer in double figures.
UCLA (15-9, 9-6) went nearly six minutes without scoring, and Arizona State took a 23-7 lead on Aubree Johnson’s jump shot with 4:28 left in the first half. UCLA never got closer than the 33-17 halftime margin.
Arizona 87, USC 74 -- Dee-Dee Wheeler scored 25 points and the Wildcats made 11 of 16 shots from three-point range in a victory over the Trojans at Tucson.
Arizona (17-8, 9-5) raced to a 46-30 halftime lead with eight three-point baskets.
Meghan Gnekow had 17 points and 10 rebounds for USC (16-8, 10-5). Kim Gipson had 14 points and Camille LeNoir 10.
