* Roger DeGuzman, Mission Hills Alemany: Senior guard scored only six points, but his 15-foot baseline jumper with four seconds remaining upset No. 16 Lompoc, 49-48, in Division III-AA.

* A.J. Maulhardt, Ojai Nordhoff: Made two free throws with seven seconds left in 65-64 upset of 11th-seeded La Canada St. Francis in Division III-A.

* Larry Gordon, Montclair: With his team trailing going into the fourth quarter, 51-36, the senior forward scored 17 of his 27 points in a 67-66 victory over Temecula Chaparral in a Division I-AA wild-card game.
