Burbank police have identified a 43-year-old maintenance man as a person of interest in the killing of a Warner Bros. financial analyst last year.
Police are searching for evidence that may link Eriberto Rodriguez of Los Angeles to the disappearance and killing of 30-year-old Sharon Santos.
Santos disappeared after leaving work Aug. 17, 2004. Her body was found two weeks later in the trunk of her car in Chinatown.
Rodriguez is a registered sex offender who worked as a maintenance man at the apartment complex where Santos lived, police said.
On Thursday, police arrested Rodriguez after executing search warrants at four locations in Burbank and Los Angeles. He was booked on suspicion of residential burglary, sexual battery and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, police said.
