Knievel suit -- Motorcycle daredevil Evel Knievel cannot sue a website that published a photo of him with two women above a caption reading, “You’re never too old to be a pimp,” a U.S. appeals court ruled Tuesday. The term “pimp” was probably intended as a compliment, the court said.
Game show -- Bob Barker has agreed to continue as host of “The Price Is Right” for a record 34th season, CBS announced. “I was considering retiring this year and going into body building with the thought in mind of becoming governor of California,” Barker said. “But I decided to instead to stay with the body I have and the job I have.”
New violist -- The acclaimed Takacs Quartet will get a new violist in August. Geraldine Walther, principal violist of the San Francisco Symphony since 1976, will replace Roger Tapping, who is leaving after 10 years to spend more time with his family.
Opera stamp -- Operatic and concert star Marian Anderson will be commemorated on a new U.S. postage stamp Jan. 27. The stamp is the 28th in the Postal Service’s Black Heritage series.
