$5,000 Reward Offered in Woman’s Slaying

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the killing of a 55-year-old woman during an early-morning attack in her bedroom, officials said.
Ariet Girgis, 55, was stabbed to death Sept. 29 after her 17-year-old son was tied up in their home on Magnolia Street.
Police said there were no signs of forced entry.
The funds were offered by the Carole Sund/Carrington Memorial Reward Foundation, which offers rewards to help solve crimes in 36 states.
