Tennessee’s Offense Dominates

Shanna Zolman scored 19 points and Candice Parker 14 to lead No. 2 Tennessee to a 93-55 victory over ninth-ranked Michigan State in the Paradise Jam tournament Thursday night in Charlotte Amalie, Virgin Islands.
Parker also had nine rebounds, four assists and four blocks for the Lady Vols (3-0), who will play Gonzaga today.
Lindsay Bowen scored 19 points for Michigan State (2-1).
The Lady Vols led the entire game, but the Spartans kept it relatively close in the first half, trailing, 37-27, at the break. Tennessee shot 57% from the field in the second half to pull away.
The Spartans committed 20 turnovers and shot 33%.

No. 10 Maryland 88, Gonzaga 50 -- Marissa Coleman scored 21 points to lead the Terrapins in the Paradise Jam tournament.
Crystal Langhorne added 13 points for the Terrapins (3-0), who had four players reach double figures in scoring. Maryland outrebounded Gonzaga, 54-31.
Katy Ridenour scored 13 points for the Bulldogs (1-2), who were held to 34% from the field.
Maryland center Laura Harper fell hard into the stands while fighting for a loose ball, injuring the back of her neck.
She got up slowly several minutes later, and held her neck on the bench for the rest of the game.
