4.4 Magnitude Quake Shakes Central Coast

An earthquake shook Central California on Sunday morning about six miles east of San Simeon, home to Hearst Castle.
The 4.4 magnitude temblor hit at 6:48 a.m., according to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey. It was followed by several aftershocks of 3.0 magnitude and above.
“There were no reports of injuries and damage,” said Sgt. Tony Perry of the San Luis County Sheriff’s Department substation in Cambria.
