He could have run into Paris

I am usually a big fan of “My Favorite Weekend.” Reading about Eduardo Xol’s weekend [Oct. 20] with his mother was touching and fun, but his listing of the run-of-the-mill “see and be seen” L.A. spots (Koi, Marmont, Hotel Roosevelt, etc.) was flat-out boring.
This column succeeds when it can feature an atypical weekend destination and give insight into a personality through their weekend schedule.
Xol’s A-list weekend would have been better placed next to Heidi Siegmund Cuda’s yawn-inducing Hilton-tracker “Buzz Clubs.”
