Kings’ Problems Start at the Top

My relief at the Kings’ housecleaning is tempered by the unfortunate fact that AEG still holds the broom. A far more palatable solution for long-suffering fans would be for them to sell the house to an owner who wants to remodel instead of just collect rent. I’d even settle for an owner who actually wanted to attend a game and was not afraid to include his photo in the team media guide.
Have no fear, Mr. Anschutz, Kings’ fans are far more embarrassed by your overall lack of performance than you could ever be.

In announcing the massive firings and housecleaning after the Kings’ disastrous season, Tim Leiweke said, “We need to do something to be a successful team.”
Uncle Tim, if this is the case, then the answer is simple: Sell the team to someone who knows what they’re doing.

Given this quote by Tim Leiweke -- “In 40 years, this franchise hasn’t won anything.... In the last 10 seasons, we have won one playoff series” -- who came up with the slogan, “Kings Rule”?
After rewarding such incompetence with loyalty (not to mention money) for many years, I am fortunate enough to retain a sufficient number of brain cells to tell Leiweke what he can do with my renewal form for next season.
