Los Angeles Marathon President William Burke is among a dozen people who agreed to pay fines to the city Ethics Commission for campaign finance violations, the panel said Thursday.
Burke has agreed to pay $750 for violating the $500 limit on contributions to council campaigns when he and his company each made $500 contributions to Nick Pacheco’s 2003 campaign.
In addition, 11 associates of attorney Pierce O’Donnell will pay a combined $13,500 in fines after O’Donnell reimbursed employees for giving to James K. Hahn’s 2001 mayoral campaign.
