Two Die, Four Injured in Apartment Blaze

A mother and her 6-year old daughter were killed in an apartment fire early Sunday morning, Fire Capt. Jim Arvizu said.
Firefighters went to the scene in the 5500 block of Ackerfield Avenue about 4 a.m. and extinguished the fire within 15 minutes, Arvizu said.
Michelle Racer, 32, and her daughter Taylor Wittaker were found dead inside. A man and two teenage boys suffered minor burns, and a firefighter suffered minor leg injuries.
