Kashmir troops killing comrades

India’s army is investigating several recent cases of soldiers fatally shooting comrades in the portion of Kashmir that New Delhi controls.
Military officials say 17 years of insurgency in Kashmir, and to a lesser degree in India’s remote northeast, are taking a toll on stressed, isolated troops.
In the last 10 days in Kashmir, there have been at least four cases of distraught soldiers fatally shooting comrades and then committing suicide.
