The long-running comedy “The King of Queens” will return to the CBS schedule on Dec. 6 with successive original episodes from 8 to 9 p.m., replacing the first-year drama “Jericho,” which will return in February, the network said Wednesday.
“The King of Queens” was left off CBS’ fall schedule after eight seasons but received a 13-episode order as a backup series. Two episodes will also air Dec. 13 and one each Dec. 20 and Dec. 27. The remaining episodes will be broadcast in 2007.
A finale for “Jericho,” a drama about how a Kansas town deals with the aftermath of a nuclear explosion, will air Nov. 29. CBS will broadcast a recapping of the series on Feb. 14, followed by an original episode on Feb. 21. CBS will create a website for “Jericho” during its hiatus.
