Re “Mayor Touts ‘Green’ L.A. in Britain,” Sept. 28
L.A. definitely needs a million new trees, but what about the trees that already line the streets? Many need water and proper care. Some have been so badly pruned that they become weakened and misshapen, with dead branches, shadows of their glorious past. Some don’t survive the bad pruning and just die outright, their dried wooden skeletons a sad memorial to what should be a sign of life.
