THE ghost town of Bodie, Calif., about an hour south of Lake Tahoe, has offered photo ops galore for decades. Kathleen M. Spinelli of Encino found a fresh approach in July, as son Christopher, 2 1/2 and relatively new to using a bathroom, pondered the adventure that was outdoor plumbing. She used a Nikon N50 for the shot. Bodie is accessible in summer, but photogs, beware: Snow often closes off access in winter.
