The world’s largest passenger plane will pay its second visit to Los Angeles International Airport this morning.
The eight-story-high Airbus A380, which is not yet in commercial service in the United States, will touch down on the airport’s southernmost runway about 11:45 a.m. and taxi to the Imperial Terminal.
Airbus, which manufactured the jet, and Qantas Airlines, which plans to bring A380 passenger service here next year, will offer an invitation-only demonstration flight on the aircraft Thursday.
Today’s landing can be viewed from the Proud Bird Restaurant at 11022 Aviation Blvd., the Encounter Restaurant in LAX’s central terminal area or airport parking lot B at 111th Street and La Cienega Boulevard.
