The hotel look can be yours

Book a hotel room? Or buy one? The Tower Hotel in Beverly Hills, which will close Sunday in preparation for renovation, is selling the old furnishings from its guest rooms, lobby, restaurant, even the pool deck. Hair dryers will go for $5; leather sofas and chairs will top out at $250. A complete room package including Tempur-Pedic mattress, headboard, desk, armoire, two chairs, 27-inch TV, lamps and artwork will be priced at $1,000. A spokesman for the company handling the sale, Fort Pitt Hotel Furniture Liquidators, says it will accept cash and credit cards -- but no checks. Customers must arrange their own delivery and pick up merchandise within three days of purchase. Oh, and all sales are final. If you can handle those caveats, head for 1224 S. Beverwil Drive. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Oct. 21. Questions: fortpitt@ hotmail.com.
