The U.S. military will court-martial four Marines in Japan on charges that they raped a 19-year-old Japanese woman in October, a Marine Corps official said today.
Japanese prosecutors dropped the case in November without explanation.
Lance Cpl. Larry A. Dean, 20, will face the court in April and Sgt. Lanaeus J. Braswell, 25, in May, Master Gunnery Sgt. John Cordero said.
Dates for the two others -- Gunnery Sgts. Carl M. Anderson, 39, and Jarvis D. Raynor, 34 -- have not been set yet, he said.
