Update -- Catching a team at the back end of games on consecutive nights? That, supposedly, was going to be a lucky break, a step in the right direction for the Clippers last week against Sacramento. And we all know how that worked out. Problems are all relative: The Spurs are missing guards Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, both out with lingering injuries, but they beat the Kings, 90-88, at Sacramento on Sunday. Coach Gregg Popovich was quoted recently as saying that if his team held somebody to 82 points, he would be “jumping up and down.” The Clippers, having given up 103 and 121 points in their last two games, can only gaze wistfully at giving up 82 points.
