Thank you for the article on Rodney King [“For Rodney King, it’s AA to VH1,” by Greg Braxton, Oct. 12].
Having had a spiritual awakening he is now going to be on a “reality” show. I guess if you can’t be in reality you can at least act on TV in a reality show.
My point is that the AA sponsor who suggested he break his anonymity and go public is not within the traditions of AA. But I guess it’s OK for Rodney to blame anybody else rather than take responsibility. Just please don’t make him out to be a hero for getting sober.
