I enjoyed Geoff Boucher’s article [“ ‘Lost’ and Found,” May 3]. Did you know the original Sleestaks were modeled after high school players who went on to the NBA? The USC recruiters arranged it. The most famous was Bill Laimbeer, and he was joined by Dave Greenwood and John Lambert.
