Great article [“Tony Scott and the Retaking of ‘Pelham 123’,” May 3]. I really enjoyed it and was intrigued by the movie.
I am curious to know why this movie was being remade. Some movies are classic, and the ’74 “Taking of . . . “ was great. I just don’t understand why Hollywood is remaking so many great films. Are they out of ideas? Do they not have any creativity left? I’m not going to bash the movie and I’ll probably see it, but I’d like to ask Tony “Why?”
