Where mozzarella meets memories

Regarding “Where the Mozzarella Roams” by Susan Spano [May 10]. Now I’m hungry. I spent two summers of my youth, 1964 and 1965, north of Naples, Italy. I remember the pizza was outstanding -- simple as it could be, cooked in those wood-fired ovens in huge, two-story-high stone walls. I might have been just a little kid then, but I still remember the taste. Never have I had such good pizza. Mozzarella was everywhere too, on bread, on noodles, by itself.
