Orioles hand Blue Jays ninth loss in a row

at Baltimore 12, Toronto 10 (11 innings): Nolan Reimold hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the 11th inning to cap a surprising comeback by the Orioles, who extended the Blue Jays’ losing streak to nine games. Baltimore trailed 8-3 in the eighth inning and 10-8 after Aaron Hill hit a two-run homer off Danys Baez in the top of the 11th.
New York 9, at Texas 2: A.J. Burnett pitched six shutout innings to win for the first time in six weeks and Hideki Matsui homered twice as the Yankees gained a share of the AL East lead. Derek Jeter reached base five times and Mark Teixeira hit his 12th homer in May.
Detroit 8, at Kansas City 3: Rookie Rick Porcello won his fifth straight start and Placido Polanco homered and drove in three runs for the Tigers. Porcello (6-3) has won his last five with an ERA of 1.50.
Seattle 6, at Oakland 1: Russell Branyan hit a go-ahead, two-run homer in the sixth inning, Erik Bedard (3-2) won for the first time in five starts and the Mariners avoided a sweep.
at Cleveland 12, Tampa Bay 7: Ben Francisco homered and drove in four runs as the Indians won their third game in a row for the first time this season.
at Angels 3, Chicago 1: Jered Weaver and Brian Fuentes combined on a five-hitter and Bobby Abreu had two RBIs.
