DENVER — Todd Helton, Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitzki hit two-run homers, and the Colorado Rockies moved closer to a playoff spot with a 10-6 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night.
The Rockies extended their NL wild-card lead to four games over Atlanta with four to play. Colorado also is within 2 1/2 games of the Dodgers in the NL West. The Rockies play one more against the Brewers today, then finish the season with three games at Dodger Stadium.
Yorvit Torrealba had three hits for the Rockies, including an RBI single. He also sprinted home on a wild pitch, one of two from Jeff Suppan (7-12) that allowed runs to score.
