Celtics avoid upset against Wizards

BOSTON — Ray Allen scored a game-high 25 points Sunday night, including a go-ahead three-pointer with 17.1 seconds remaining, and the Boston Celtics rallied in the fourth quarter to beat the Washington Wizards, 86-83.
Boston trailed, 79-66, with 6:11 to play and responded with a 20-4 run to close out the game, with eight points coming from Allen and six from guard Rajon Rondo.
The Celtics cut the deficit to 79-76 before JaVale McGee dunked following a Randy Foye miss for Washington with 2:38 left, but the Celtics scored six more capped by an Allen three-pointer for an 82-81 Boston lead with 1:33 remaining.
