Celebration of Fine Art

Santa Barbara International Film Festival
When, where: Jan. 27-Feb. 6, various venues
Highlights: The 26th annual event screens more than 200 films, hosts social events and expert panels, and honors actors such as Annette Bening, James Franco and Nicole Kidman.

Galt Winter Bird Festival
When, where: Jan. 29, McCaffrey Middle School
