Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman sell estate in Beverly Hills

Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman have sold their Beverly Hills home, for which they were asking $32 million, in an off-market deal.

The two-acre estate centers on an elegant main house designed in a French country style by architectural designer Robert DeYoung.

An earlier version of this incorrectly credited Wallace Neff as architect of the house. Neff designed a previous residence on the site, but it was torn down to just a shell, then rebuilt and expanded by architectural designer Robert DeYoung.

Within the 14,579 square feet of living space are a projection room, living, family and dining rooms, an office, an art studio, a bar, a den, a gym, a wine cellar, five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Fireplaces grace the living and family rooms, the library and the master bedroom.

There are two swimming pools and a guesthouse on the parklike grounds.

DeVito, 70, is on the series “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and starred on “Taxi” (1978-83) as dispatcher Louie De Palma. Among his films are “L.A. Confidential” (1997), “Twins” (1988) and “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” (1975).

Perlman, 67, is on “The Mindy Project.” She was on “Kirstie” (2013-14), “Pearl” (1996-97) and “Cheers” (1982-93).

They bought the property in 1994, according to public records.
