He used to be so nice.

After years of well-mannered, all-things-to-all-people superstardom, Bruce Springsteen has increasingly waded into the fray, endorsing political candidates, criticizing the Patriot Act, the war in Iraq and several presidential administrations and generally acting like a man liberated from the tyranny of polite superstar behavior.

Unlike say, Neil Young, his cantankerousness has only made him more awesome, even as mini-scandals have, for the first time in history, piled up in his wake.
