Susan Sarandon’s New York City apartment was reportedly burglarized over the weekend, with the perp or perps making off with a laptop, camera and jewelry.
Fortunately, the “Dead Man Walking” Oscar-winner wasn’t present when it happened.
Sarandon’s 22-year-old son Miles Robbins told police he left the residence around 8 p.m. Saturday and discovered the place in disarray when he returned before 4 a.m. Sunday, the New York Post’s Page Six reported.
Cops found no sign of forced entry, TMZ said, but did discover a ladder they believe was used to access the pad. The Post’s sources said the burglar entered through an open terrace door at the back of the apartment.
Police were waiting to talk to the “Thelma & Louise” star to determine the value of the jewelry that was taken, People reported. Page Six said Sarandon had about $100,000 worth of shiny stuff on hand; it’s not known if all of it was stolen.
Sarandon -- who recently revealed she and David Bowie had a fling in the early ‘80s -- tweeted a picture of herself last week vacationing on an unidentified lake.
