Hero Complex’s studio session: The portraits of Comic-Con 2015
- Share via
In homage to the San Diego Comic-Con conventions of the past, The Times’ Hero Complex set up a studio inside the hallowed falls of SDCC to produce tangible photos taken by a Polaroid Land Camera from the late ‘60s. Much like the comics collected over the many years of SDCC’s long reign, eash image is a unique creation and celebration of pop culture.
Eschewing the flash and using only San Diego sunlight to illuminate each subject, here’s a photo gallery collecton of what we created, and who stopped by.
The instant prints include images from director Guillermo del Toro, Slash, “Walking Dead’s” Norman Reedus, old and new Doctors Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi, genre goddess Lucy Lawless and more. Taken by photographer Jay L. Clendenin.
Behold the great beauty of each print collected in our Comic-Con 2015 instant print gallery.
