Watch Miguel team with Kendrick Lamar to ask ‘How Many Drinks?’

Earlier this month Pop & Hiss brought you Miguel’s characteristically sleek remix of his song “How Many Drinks?” which features a guest verse from Kendrick Lamar.

Now there’s a characteristically sleek video to go with it: On Friday, the two L.A.-based performers released the “How Many Drinks?” clip, not long after Miguel made his impressive debut on “Saturday Night Live.”

Directed by Constellation Jones, who also oversaw the video for Miguel’s “Adorn,” “How Many Drinks?” finds the singer and the rapper doing their thing on a dimly lighted soundstage. It’s simple but effective, not least thanks to Lamar’s delightful outfit, which demonstrates that sometimes matchy-matchy can work.

On May 11, Miguel is to appear at KIIS-FM’s annual Wango Tango concert (along with Bruno Mars and Maroon 5, among others) at Home Depot Center in Carson. And he and Lamar will hit Staples Center together on June 29 as part of the BET Experience.
