MasterChef The cooking competition returns with 40 chefs (all grown-ups this time) in a two-hour season premiere. Christina Tosi joins Gordon Ramsay and Graham Elliot as a judge. 8 p.m. Fox
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit A case takes a surprising and personal turn for Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and the baby she’s trying to adopt in the season finale. 9 p.m. NBC
Supernatural The show wraps up its season with a new episode that reflects on what the Winchesters have been for each other since the start of the series. Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins star. 9 p.m. KTLA
Modern Family Phil (Ty Burrell) can’t make Alex’s (Ariel Winter) graduation party, but modern technology comes to the rescue, giving him a virtual presence. 9 p.m. ABC
black-ish Jack and Diane (Miles Brown, Marsai Martin) have a hard time finding anything about their family’s past for a class project, but Pops (Laurence Fishburne) steps in with the tale (in flashback) of an ancestor (Anthony Anderson) who ran up against a gangster (Sean “Diddy” Combs) in 1920s Harlem.
