Golden Globes 2014: Hayden Panettiere’s hair miss

“Nashville” star Hayden Panettiere made it known how excited she was to be wearing Tom Ford to the Golden Globes, but she may have gotten a little carried away paying homage to the designer’s sexy, ‘70s aesthetic.

Panettiere’s hair was a blond, blunt helmet that was almost too much “look” for such a petite and young woman.

The slicked back and hardened hair, along with the graphic black and white color of her dress, was supposed to be a fashion-forward look but fell short because it tried too hard.

Panettiere should take a cue from Cate Blanchett or Lupita Nyong’o for a lesson on how to do a directional look that’s still elegant, understated and stunning.
