Championship
Newport Harbor 2, Harvard-Westlake 0
Lara Schilling and Kristen Jendrusina each scored second-half goals to give Newport Harbor (20-1) the Los Angeles Field Hockey Assn. championship at Edison High.
The eight-team tournament is the season-ending event for Southern California high school teams.After a scoreless first half, Schilling scored with an assist from Jendrusina with 12 minutes left in the 60-minute game. Jendrusina scored the Sailors’ second goal six minutes later.
Newport Harbor’s only loss of the season came against Edison. Harvard-Westlake finished at 15-2-1.Huntington Beach defeated Edison, 2-1, in the third-place game.

Emily Davis of Harvard-Westlake (15-1-2) scored an unassisted goal in the first half at Moorpark College.
