Retiring California congressmen: In the Feb. 15 Section A, a graphic about five retiring California congressmen included a photo of former Rep. Tom Campbell rather than Rep. John Campbell, who should have been pictured.

Jimmy Fallon: In the Feb. 16 Calendar section, an article about new “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon said that the program is returning to the same NBC New York studio where it resided for its first 15 years before Johnny Carson took the show to Burbank. For the show’s first three years, when it was hosted by Steve Allen, it originated from the Hudson Theatre in New York. Under Jack Paar and then Carson, it was produced at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, where it resided until 1972.

Coal ash spill: In the Feb. 9 Section A, an article about a coal ash spill in the Dan River in North Carolina identified Pete Harrison as a lawyer with Riverkeeper Alliance. The group’s name is Waterkeeper Alliance.

Doctor evaluations: In the Feb. 9 Business section, a Healthcare Watch column about physicians’ backgrounds and ratings gave the wrong name in one instance for the website of an organization providing ratings. The website is CalQualityCare.org, managed by the California Healthcare Foundation. The column also erroneously referred to the website as a “state ranking.”

Homeboy Industries: In the Jan. 26 Section A, a column said that Homeboy Industries had a $1-million budget deficit that might necessitate 60 more layoffs this year. Though the organization did lose $1 million in government funding, it also cut expenditures to close the gap and does not anticipate client/trainee layoffs.

“The X Factor”: In the Feb. 15 Calendar section, an article about Simon Cowell and “The X Factor” misidentified the parent company of the Fox network. It is now owned by 21st Century Fox, not News Corp., and the executive who called the show’s ratings “disappointing” works for 21st Century Fox.

Tennis: In the Feb. 15 Sports section, an item in the Day in Sports roundup said that Lu Yen-Hsun would play Jack Sock, a 7-6 (2), 6-4 winner over Ivo Karlovic in the U.S. National Indoor Tennis Championships. In fact, Lu will play Karlovic, who defeated Sock, 7-6 (4), 6-7 (3), 6-3.

Westminster Kennel Club: In the Feb. 9 Section A, an article about the Westminster Kennel Club’s agility competition said that ABBA, a border collie, went home without a prize. ABBA won a prize in the Best of Class category.
